NEW DELHI: Global technology company InMobi has appointed company veteran Hema Namburi as its Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), strengthening its leadership team as it continues to expand its global operations. Namburi brings nearly two decades of experience in finance, audit, taxation and regulatory compliance, along with more than 14 years of association with InMobi across two stints.

Namburi has been serving as InMobi's Global Financial Controller since 2018, overseeing financial operations across multiple geographies and playing a key role in strengthening the company's financial processes, reporting systems and governance framework. Her elevation to the Group CFO position reflects the company's focus on developing internal leadership talent and leveraging institutional experience.

Announcing the appointment, Naveen Tewari, Founder and CEO of InMobi and Glance, said Namburi's extensive understanding of the company's business and financial operations would be valuable as the organisation enters its next phase of growth. He highlighted her contribution towards strengthening financial processes and governance, adding that her experience in managing a global technology business would support the company's long-term objectives.

Namburi's association with InMobi began in 2010, when she joined its finance function and subsequently rose to the position of Senior Manager – Finance. During her initial tenure, she handled key responsibilities involving global financial reporting, revenue accounting, audit management, taxation, transfer pricing and financial compliance.

After spending nearly two-and-a-half years at food-tech company FreshMenu as Vice President – Finance, she returned to InMobi in 2018 as Global Financial Controller. In this role, she worked closely with teams across geographies to manage financial operations and strengthen internal processes.

Commenting on her appointment, Namburi said InMobi had played an important role in her professional journey and that she was honoured to take on the responsibility. She said she would focus on further strengthening financial discipline, governance and operational excellence while working with the leadership team to support the company's continued growth.

Before joining InMobi, Namburi worked with KPMG India, where she gained experience in statutory audits, financial reporting, internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. She began her professional career with Infosys in 2006, working in financial planning and analysis, budgeting and financial modelling.

Namburi is a Chartered Accountant and Cost and Management Accountant. She has also completed an Executive Programme in Applied Finance from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.

Her appointment comes as InMobi continues to strengthen its leadership and financial management capabilities to support its international business operations and growth strategy.
